. . . . .

I am heartbroken for the wild horses of our country, where a number are believed to be entering the slaughter pipeline amid expanded BLM sales. This heartbreak does not stop with the wild horses of our country, but extends outward to the people, land and life that continue to be harmed, displaced and destroyed.

Horses, in particular, have shaped who I am since I was a little girl. From dreaming of them to building a life in connection with them, some of the most significant lessons and values I carry have come from being in the presence of horses. They have taught me how to be in relationship - to cultivate sensitivity, trust, strength, freedom, and what it means to truly listen.

To witness wild horses being separated from their herds, removed from the lands they belong to, sold for as little as $25, and - as recent reporting has documented - entering a system that can potentially funnel them toward slaughter, I can’t remain silent. I have to believe there is still meaning in doing what we can with what we have.

I have taken one of my original horse sketches and turned it into a print, available for $12.50—half the cost of what one of these incredible wild horses can be sold for.

100% of my net proceeds from the sale of this print will be donated to support nonprofit advocacy and protection efforts for America’s wild horses.

This is a small, independent offering made out of love for these animals and a belief that our attention, our voices, and our choices still matter.
